Or the briefer-ish but disjointed version?
Personality:
Given that he is Sora's nobody, a lot of what makes Roxas who he is comes from Sora. It shouldn't be surprising, at all, that he's just about as naive as they come. He's a child forced to do an adult's job, and he sometimes just isn't sure how to handle the seriousness of what is happening around him. Then again, given he's part of Organiztion XIII, most of the time he just has no idea what's going on anyway. He looks at everything like it's a new adventure with new things to learn and has a childlike wonder towards most of it. Every world he goes to is just as fascinating to him as the last. He looks to the older members of the organization to teach him how to function, especially since he has no memories of his own, and takes bits and pieces of all their personalities in order to become the person he is now.
One thing that also carried over from Sora is how ridiculously loyal Roxas can be. He'll do pretty much anything that is asked of him, without question, wanting to prove that he's not useless and that he has a place within the organization. At least, that's how he started. While he began with a devotion to the organization as a whole, it evolved into a devotion to his close friends and companions. He feels a drive to help and protect them, no matter the nature of the threat, even if it's from something else that holds his loyalty to a lesser degree such as the leaders of the Organization. Along with this loyalty comes an eagerness to please and make everyone happy. He's usually the first to jump at a chance to do something if it means making others happy and is like an adorable puppy that will run off wagging his tail without really thinking things through completely.
With the good always comes the bad. There are a small handful of dark traits which Roxas has found himself with that seem to be more his than Sora's. He's very temperamental, which is strange for someone that supposedly doesn't have a heart. Most of the organization members simply 'ghost' emotions, while Roxas seems to actually experience them. Even with as happy go lucky as he is, Roxas is very quick to anger. His anger melds more with frustration a lot of the time, growing into something of a determined rage. Much of this often spawns from being unaware or unable to comprehend the depth of events unfolding around him, or his own nature. Sometimes his anger and confusion leads him to brash decisions and sends him down unorthodox paths. Unlike Sora, Roxas finds himself actually hating some individuals and holding grudges. Thankfully, time spent chilling in Sora's heart has calmed his temperament some, and given him some insight into the way the world looks.
Even with his ever-onward attitude, Roxas does find road blocks in life in the form of insecurities. He doesn't know who to trust or what to believe at times, and that makes him fumble quite a bit. He finds himself unsure of whether or not he's actually a real person and that makes it hard for him to move forward sometimes. It's these insecurities and doubts that make him bitter and resentful, hating the organization for what they made him into and what they were using him for, and even making him hate Sora for a time. Roxas is able to accept what he is and what his purpose is wholeheartedly. He knows, deep down, that being a part of Sora is what he's meant to be and he goes willingly, allowing himself to rest and finally feel whole, even if he's not his own person anymore.
Ryslig was a mixed bag for Roxas. For the first time he had a whole heart of his own, and he had to learn to deal with full emotions and terrible situations. He learned fear from other monsters and his war with the gods. He also learned caution and prudence from those interactions. He learned to think before he spoke, to consider actions before taking them, and to always prepare for and expect the worst. Several people showed him that not everyone would be kind from the start, that some people were evil in their core and only wanted to harm others.
But beside all the negative things that happened to him, the things that impacted Roxas the most were the positives. He learned what it was like to have a family when Snow and Serah more or less adopted him. He learned to trust his friends and go to them when he needed help, or when he needed to express an emotion he was unsure about. They made him feel safe and warm, and that is something he's found himself seeking from that point forward. Even after Snow and Serah disappeared he made another family of sorts for himself, a support network to keep him moving in the right direction.
Eventually he found himself being the supporter, protecting and offering information to those that were new or weak, throwing himself into tasks to help complete strangers because he wanted to see a positive change in the monster community. In an unexpected twist, Roxas found that his emotions and energy could inspire others to action as he sunk into the role of the leader, though reluctant, of the revolution against the gods.
Interactions with Maya, Beat, Vanitas, and many others taught him that first impressions can be deceiving, or at the very least people can change. A deep conversation with Maya, someone he'd at first considered an enemy, opened his eyes to his own self-worth and position in the world. Roxas found he didn't need to be a shadow of Sora, or devote his life to his Other. He was freed from the shackles he had put on himself and allowed to spread his wings so to speak and venture out on his own with his own interests and projects.

RYSLIG HISTORY
After a short and relatively uneventful acclimation period, Roxas (still human) was encouraged to join the festivities for a Christmas masquerade. He was a bit unnerved being surrounded by what he now understood were flesh-hungry monsters, but was assured nothing would happen and had the assurance of several people for protection. In the end it wasn't Roxas that needed protection. A strange effect of both the masks and the midnight fireworks sent the young man into a spiral of intense paranoia in which he believed Sora and Riku, both present in Ryslig longer than Roxas, were conspiring to remove him from existence once and for all. When confronted by Sora about his strange behavior, Roxas acted incredibly impulsively and grabbed his Other to try to fight him. Sora took his small faerie form to try to escape, but Roxas found him the perfect size to be disposed of and swallowed him whole and alive. The alive thing didn't last much longer after that, but thankfully non-natives who die in Ryslig revive during the next fog.
Feeling atrocious for what he did, Roxas hid away from society for the next several weeks. ... Or would have, if Sora had let him. The fae tricked him into a faerie circle and they had a heart-to-heart and cleared the air. Just before that, however, Roxas faced his first set of changes which were mercifully comparatively minor, though his housemate Vanitas felt the need to torment him.
Friends he'd made at his arrival and at the masquerade, meanwhile, helped him acclimate to Ryslig at least a little bit. One of the things he was introduced to was the network, and this may have been a terrible and fatal mistake. After meeting and talking with a plethora of unhappy people, some inspiring and some just saddening, Roxas decided something should be done about the force bringing people to the peninsula and forcing them to change into flesh-eating monsters. At first he was just running his mouth, but the overwhelming support he received on the network, and the opposition that fueled his fires, caused him to launch into a full-blown information search for how to take down the Fog God and the Fourth God. Somehow he'd become the head of a very dangerous movement.
In the mean time, Xion was killed by Beat, and Roxas wasn't willing to let it go and so the two agreed to meet and fight it out. They fought, Beat very soundly kicked Roxas' ass, and they agreed to be friends from that point forward. This sorta becomes a theme for our dear little harpy. Speaking of which, the very next day his arms transformed into fully fledged wings, and his bones hollowed, making him capable of flight.
The rest of the month was more or less quiet. Roxas wandered out to practice flying with varying degrees of success, and went into the major towns to talk with people and gather information for his movement, which he finally made a private post for to organize folks better. He also underwent another round of monstrous changes. Towards the end of the month Mana, a native and somewhat supernatural woman, reached out for help and Roxas' heroic nature kicked in, causing him to offer himself. She took him up on the offer, summoning him and five other monsters to her cabin in the woods to protect her from her berserk lover, a strange horse-beast with immense power who had up to this point been known for trading the monsters goods and favors for mysterious coins. The group managed to kill Tikbalang, which was something no one had thought was possible. The rest of the group had their memories of the event erased, but since Mana knew the Fog God was watching Roxas, she killed him instead to keep eyes off of him and in turn her.
With no memory of the very important event and the hunch he'd mysteriously died, Roxas went about his life. Feeling uneasy about living with a devout follower of the god he planned to kill, he moved out of the castle and away from Xion and was gladly accepted to the house of Snow Villiers and his company. Shortly after this came his last set of changes, but he had company and comfort this time. Except... With this set of changes came his hunger at last. As he wandered through the fog he helped many folks escape or fight off a band of anti-monster, pitchfork-wielding locals. During one such fight the bloodlust took over, and Roxas killed a man and tore into his flesh to sate it. This was an inevitability in Ryslig, but that didn't stop him from feeling the shame when he came back to his senses.
Shortly after this, the group he was starting to feel so comfortable with began to break apart. Snow, the man he'd come to respect more than anyone else in Ryslig and someone who acted as a guardian of sorts for him, disappeared into the fog. His foundation cracked and feeling vulnerable, he went to seek the famous Truth Bakery at the advice of some others. There he met with one of his online adversaries, Maya, and after a short argument the two broke into a more emotional conversation and left as very good friends. See the theme? He also found some clarity on his position in Ryslig and his relationship to Sora through talking it out.
Nearer the end of the month Mana's fears came true. Roxas awoke one night in the streets of a nearby city with no idea how he'd gotten there from the comfort of his bed and surrounded by an angry and well-organised mob with very ill intent. Equipped with specialized tools that no one had seen before, the mob proceeded to tie up the harpy and drag him through the streets to a square where they plucked his feathers and tied him to an electrocuted pole, as electricity was the weakness of harpies. As if being plucked and electrocuted for a time wasn't enough, the mob then began to pour boiling hot tar over the harpy and dump his own plucked feathers back onto him, and then untied him and left him to suffer and/or die in the street. A few monsters passed by him but decided he wasn't worth the trouble, and finally one got help and he was taken to the hospital. Monsters in Ryslig have an amazing rate of healing, and the defeathered harpy should have been well and on his feet in a matter of a day or two, but instead the tar refused to leave his skin and his body refused to heal. The cherry on top was that his usually manageable hunger was agonizing, and he found it extremely difficult not to attack and eat the human hospital staff. His friends came through to bring him food (and flesh), but he still felt endlessly famished.
During his time of suffering and not healing, the memories of killing Tikbalang and helping Mana returned, and he and the others took to the network to explain what they had seen and done, which caused a fairly large shake-up in the world. Feeling awful and generally angry with the world, the knowledge that he had helped to kill the god-like Tikbalang gave Roxas hope that taking down the Fourth and Fog gods could indeed be done.
Six days of suffering on a hospital bed later the fog finally fixed him when it rolled in. He was good as new in a flash, but as the sun set he found his instincts running wild telling him he needed to hunt and kill. But he wasn't sated by just anything. When he came across Yeul, his crush and very good friend, in the home they shared he lost control of himself and attempted to kill her. The intervention of two of their other housemates saw Roxas killed and Yeul saved. Roxas awoke from death the next morning floating in a lake and completely human. That would change throughout the day as he slowly suffered all of his monstrous changes once more in a short period of time. That night he lost control again, this time Vanitas, who quickly dispatched him with a venomous bite. Again the next day was the same, human to monster and then loss of control at sundown. This time the targets were Joshua and Riku, and together they killed him. The next night was Beat, who managed to bring him down. The next night was Lyra, whom he managed to kill, but her self-proclaimed guardian Kaito took him down before he could feast. The next night he cornered his friend Touya and managed to kill and eat him, and the curse was broken.
Deciding that laying low was his best option, Roxas kept mostly to himself for the next few weeks. He refused to go back to the home where he'd attacked his friends and instead drifted a bit, often settling with Vanitas and growing a bond with his once-adversary. The two officially moved in together when Mana gifted Roxas with the train station from Twilight Town as a home, and Vanitas had been gifted with a flood unversed that they ended up naming "No". For a short time the pair was happy as they explored a new set of emotions together.
Until the beginning of May, when Roxas received a distressing message from Beat and then absolutely no reply. He learned the Bloody Bones, a gang whose goal had always been to eliminate monsters, had built some sort of weapon that could permanently kill monsters and they would not revive. In a fit of blind rage and a need for vengeance, Roxas took off after the mob but was ultimately killed by them. He never revived in Ryslig again.
